Apple Vision Pro to Receive Apple Intelligence Update in April

Apple Vision Pro users will soon enjoy familiar features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground.

The latest report comes just days after the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro marked its first anniversary. The upcoming visionOS 2.4 update will introduce familiar features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground, with a beta release for developers potentially arriving this week. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has not mentioned any exclusive features debuting with this integration.

This update marks the first time Apple Intelligence is expanding beyond core devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Given the Vision Pro’s powerful specs—including an M2 chipset and 16GB of RAM—it’s no surprise that it can handle AI-driven capabilities on par with an iPad Pro or MacBook Air.

Apple is also reportedly adding a new app to the headset, allowing users to view spatial content designed specifically for the device, capture 3D images, and explore panoramas.

Additionally, visionOS 2.4 will introduce a revamped guest mode, making it easier to share the device with friends and family. Users will be able to set up guest access directly from their iPhones, eliminating the need to configure privileges on the headset itself.

Despite these enhancements, the AR/VR space is becoming increasingly competitive. In December 2024, Google launched Android XR, a software ecosystem designed for wearable displays like VR headsets. Built on Android, the platform offers broad app compatibility and integrates seamlessly with popular development tools, including the Unity game engine.

The latest 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models not only offer a significant power boost but also come with two surprising updates: they retain the Air’s fanless cooling design despite the more powerful chip, and Apple has lowered their starting prices by $100 compared to the previous generation. (Credit: Apple) MacBook Air (M4): Power Meets Affordability The 2025 MacBook Air models start at $999 for the 13-inch version—the same price as the outgoing M2 model—while the 15-inch version now begins at $1,199, down from last year’s $1,299 price tag. This makes the new MacBook Air lineup more accessible without sacrificing performance. Apple claims the M4 MacBook Air is twice as fast as the original M1 model, though performance ...
TikTok plans to shut down its app in the U.S. on Sunday, according to sources. TikTok Faces Potential Shutdown in the U.S. on Sunday TikTok is preparing to cease its U.S. operations on Sunday, affecting its 170 million American users, unless a last-minute intervention prevents the enforcement of a federal ban, according to sources familiar with the situation. The shutdown stems from a law requiring TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to divest its U.S. operations by January 19. Federal Ban and Legal Dispute The federal ban, signed into law last April, mandates the removal of TikTok from Apple’s and Google’s app stores if ByteDance fails to comply with the divestment deadline. The law also prohibits U.S. companies from providing services necessary for the platform’s maintenance or updates, effectively making the app inoperable for existing users. ByteDance has argued in court filings that the law violates the First Amendment’s protections against government restrictions on ...
